Integrity is the most important aspect of business.

Chris has been an advisor for over two decades, specializing in portfolio management, tax, retirement, and estate planning. Helping clients through the down markets is where Chris’ knowledge and experience with hedging and risk management is most valuable. He credits his dad for influencing him a great deal to “work hard, smart, and always do the right thing.” In his role as an advisor, Chris says he loves helping to take the worry out of his clients’ lives when it comes to their finances. His favorite part of his job is when his clients retire, “because I like to give them the good news that they’ll be able to live the lifestyle they want.”

Growing up in the small farming town of Waubun, MN (350 people) near Detroit Lakes, meant Chris and his family knew just about everyone else in the community. He also enjoyed the opportunity to spend time at the many lakes in the area. In his teens and early 20’s, Chris worked in landscaping, and also at a grain elevator while attending college. Between his dad’s example and these early work experiences, Chris came to value that “integrity is the most important aspect of business.”

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Moorhead State University, Chris went on to start a successful food business in California with his childhood friend, including taking on the role of National Sales Trainer. However, Chris missed his large, extended family, and ultimately sold the business to return to Minnesota.

Chris lives with his family in Eagan. Chris enjoys watching his son play hockey and lacrosse and his daughter play volleyball. He also likes to hunt, golf, and play pickleball.
